TV Show section
This is the TV programmes section of itunes, its absolutly full to the brim of tv shows from 20th Century Fox, Aardmen, BBC, ITV, E4 and MTV to name but a few. Plus they arnt just new shows there is a back catolog too which mkes iTunes a great way to get content on the go to watch where and when you like!
Look at how Red Nose Day have used this to create some more revenue!

Red Nose Channel
The offer a special 1 hour 11 minutes higlights of the night and it’s currently top in iTunes so the demand is there!
I see iTunes as a viable and high quality way of getting a quick and easy download whjich cvan then be made portable and watched later in yoiyur own time.
The problem is people see iTunes as music exclusive and so Apple need to stress the great TV show side to their application. There are talks about a larger ipod video to allow for a better viewing pleasure when viewing such content.
There is also Apple TV, which doesn’t seem to have really taken off in the UK but is a mega multimedia system! Offering you to rent movies as well as watch youtube videos.
“Apple TV gives you access to an easy-to-navigate world of entertainment. Rent HD films. Buy TV programmes. Listen to your iTunes music. Even show off your photos. Connect one HDMI cable and, just like that, Apple TV turns your TV into so much more.”
The problem is it’s only doing one job, you pay £195 plus to watch youtube clips and rent films when you can do that o the Internet or rent films from lovefilm etc. or watch videos on your already brought ipod?
Apple may need a re-think here.

I’m with you on th egeneral positivity for Apple TV but go further, as I wouldn’t say Apple TV only does one thing. The other hugely useful thing it does is let you play all your digital media through it (music, pictures and of course video) either by storing it locally on the Apple TV itself, or streaming wirelessly from a PC. Also, if you’re into adding extra programmes Boxee is a great app which is fairly easy to install and opens up Apple TV to, among other things, iPlayer and Hulu. It becomes a very powerful tool indeed then.
